Moisturizer Tour 2025

As Wet Leg prepared to take the stage in El Paso, I found myself diving headfirst into their world of infectious sound and sharp wit. When I heard they were coming to town, I dedicated the next 24 hours to immersing myself in their discography.
To say I was blown away by how brilliantly they capture the nostalgic sound of early 2000s post-punk, indie pop, and indie rock would be an understatement. Experiencing their live performance at The Lowbrow Palace felt like catching lightning in a bottle—an electrifying moment that perfectly encapsulated their unique energy.

Wet Leg’s new album, Moisturizer, is a 12-song masterpiece that captures the memorable fervor of an angsty early 2000s movie. From lyrics about infatuation to those exploring true love, the band—comprised of vocalist and guitarist Rhian Teasdale, guitarist Hester Chambers, guitarist and keyboardist Josh Mobaraki, bassist Ellis Durand, and drummer Henry Holmes—delves deeper, peeling back layers to reveal their vulnerabilities. Standouts from the album include “CPR,” “jennifer’s body,” “mangetout,” and “pokemon.”

One of the most fascinating developments in El Paso’s cultural landscape is its emergence as a vibrant hub for incredible artists to showcase their talents. No longer just a waypoint on tour routes, the city is establishing itself as a dynamic space where artists can connect and build community. This remarkable growth is a rare phenomenon, captivating those who witness it. Perhaps it’s the allure of the desert or the deep appreciation crowds have for truly exceptional music, but touring acts are certainly taking notice. The future promises an exciting lineup of talent as El Paso continues to attract and welcome new artists in the coming years.
