Gold Winners: Tin Man

“We want to make beer fun and enjoyable to drink, to make beer uniquely tied to a time, place and people,” says Kenji Shigematsu, owner of Tin Man Filling Station. Tin Man emphasizes exploring one’s tastes, and facilitates that at their five locations. “Come in and we’ll give you a beer that you’ll enjoy regardless what people are drinking around you,” Kenji says.

With specials like their Thursday Penny Growler Fills, where if you fill up one growler—essentially a six-pack’s worth of beer—you can fill up a second for only a penny, Tin Man expresses their love for the craft beer community in El Paso. “We really just want people to try all kinds beer, including visiting the local breweries,”  Kenji says. Their Kill The Tank events, which have blown up and doubled in frequency this year, feature collaborations with breweries—the results include infinite range of beer styles. “ Kill The Tank is the creation of unique and innovative beer for every palate,” Kenji says.

With big plans for future expansion, you can trust Tin Man to keep providing quality craft beer to those who are curious to try. It’s not just IPA’s—there’s a plethora of flavors, and it’s important to remember that taste buds change over time. Stop by Tin Man and let them help you find the best beer for your palate.
